Works of darśana, from sūtra manuals to kārikā treatises, are compressed by design and read through their commentaries. Each work here opens adhyāya by adhyāya. The sūtra comes first, and the vṛtti or ṭīkā sits beneath it, ready when you want it.

Sūtra & vṛttiOpen the commentary on every sūtra, one sūtra at a time, or not at all. The commentator's lead-in to each sūtra is kept with it.
TopicsEach adhyāya lists its topics from the edition's table of contents.
Faithful numberingSūtras keep the edition's numbers. Wherever the print skips or repeats a number, the reader says so.
